DIABETES

           Description:

Type 1 diabetes is characterized by loss of the insulin-producing beta cells of the islets of Langerhans of the pancreas leading to a deficiency of insulin.   It is less deadly than Type I diabetes. Bad lifestyle choices such as eating junk food and lack of exercise primarily cause Type II diabetes.

Symptoms

Age and Time

  • Weight loss

  •  Frequent thirst and urination

  • Discoloration of the skin

  • Fatigue

  • Loss of breath.

  • Type I diabetes is also known as “Juvenile Diabetes” because it primarily develops in childhood. It is inherited from relatives.
  • Type II diabetes, is known as adult-onset diabetes because it occurs in middle age.

Curing Process

  • Type II diabetes can be treated effectively by eating properly and exercising frequently to boost insulin cellular receptivity. Insulin injections are usually not required.

  • There is no cure for diabetes, although maintaining a proper diet- low on sugar- and adequate exercise can enhance one’s well-being and life-span.
